Despite the seemingly endless array of bank holidays, May has brought about two major updates in the Studio Gaunt universe.

At the start of the month, Clare Gaunt passed the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) professional translation exam, making her a qualified member of this British institute and allowing her to use the MITI letters after her name. This certification also allows her to sign and seal certified or ‘sworn’ translations and acts as another hallmark of the quality of her work.

Perhaps more importantly, it also allows her to access further continuous professional development training as well as the institute’s membership services, which should all help sustain the development of Studio Gaunt.

And now as we approach 25 May, Studio Gaunt has audited the personal data processing we carry out, updated our privacy policy and asked all our subscribers to confirm their consent to receiving our newsletter, to allow them to continue receiving updates like this one and to ensure we are not bothering them with unwanted content.

It’s an interesting process in that it forces us to focus on our professional duty to protect systems and data to ensure privacy – one of the cornerstones of free speech.

So, please take a look at our policy updates and feel free to contact us to request a copy of the personal data we process to ensure we provide an efficient service, comply with legal regulations and keep you up to date with our latest news and important information (full name, email address, billing information and Google Analytics data).
